This exhibition shows the influential graphic work of the artists that shaped 20th century Mexican art. The works are all about revolutions and wars, some are realistic while some are satirical.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/gra217.expressions.syr.edu\/s5g2\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2013\/12\/photo-11-e1386561423529.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-1528\" alt=\"photo (1)\" src=\"https:\/\/gra217.expressions.syr.edu\/s5g2\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2013\/12\/photo-11-e1386561423529-225x300.jpg\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/gra217.expressions.syr.edu\/s5g2\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2013\/12\/photo-11-e1386561423529-225x300.jpg 225w, https:\/\/gra217.expressions.syr.edu\/s5g2\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/4\/2013\/12\/photo-11-e1386561423529-768x1024.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 225px) 100vw, 225px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>The works created by Jose Guadalupe Posada are one of the most impressive.\u00a0The whole series of this image is consisted by several small cartoon illustrations. Because the images are small, when I first saw them I just thought those images were so cute. However, all &#8220;cute people&#8221; are skeleton, which shows\u00a0satirical acuteness and political engagement.\u00a0Posada was the cartoonist\u00a0illustrator\u00a0and artist whose work has influenced many\u00a0Latin American\u00a0artists and\u00a0cartoonists.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Although I am not very familiar with Mexican culture, the exhibition did give me an unforgettable experience.
