  1. The design on your cover is unique and “retro,” like the magazine’s name. The image you chose works perfectly with the crop. I really like how you used the red dots to connect the first page and the jump page. The red is visually appealing as a highlight color and the dots lead the eye. The image you chose for the first page works well both horizontally and vertically, even though I like the horizontal usage better. As a suggestion, your interactive scrolling tray is extremely hard to see on the vertical design because it blends into the text. It doesn’t strike me as an interactive feature by just looking at it.

  2. I love the images. The photos are all strong. I also love the “Sex, scotch, and swing,” it’s catchy, and it goes perfectly with the theme of your magazine. I think reusing the red in the color scheme of your magazine was also extremely effective, I would also have to agree that your interactive scrolling tray is a bit difficult to see, but all in all I like your design.

  3. This is probably my favorite magazine design. The deck of “High Tide in Manhattan” is so clever. Your pictures are very strong and really tell your story for you. Overall, this magazine is extremely well done and would instantly grab my attention.
