This topic is a pretty interesting one to choose, and the images work really well. I think it may have been a little more effective to have more variety in the pictures though..maybe one that shows the mountain or road? The leading is a little loose too, but that’s just personal preference. Your flag works really well and the typeface is perfect for the topic.
I agree with Sarah that the cover and opening images aren’t varied enough, but I think your leading is fine. I think this could have been an opportunity where you could’ve found really cool drifting photos (I’m sure there are millions available online)–maybe you could’ve even found ones from more interesting viewpoints. Your typeface also fits well with the personality of your magazine; it reminds me of the NASCAR font. But I think you might be missing some cover lines…I was a little confused at first about which page was your cover and which one was your opening.
