Through this project, I learned not only how to create layout of digital magazine, but also how to create interactivity, which was really cool and also challenging.

I absolutely loved completing this project. I learned how to use interactivity and after seeing real iPad magazines, it made me realize how useful these Indesign (and interactivity in specific) are so useful in real life. I now love to read iPad magazines.

I learned that you cannot do any project with a subject that you do not like or are not interested in. Therefore, you’re welcome for Chris Evans, aka Captain America. Secondly, I learned that InDesign is irritating and doesn’t like to hyperlink properly. Third, I learned how to use a tiny box to keep my pull tab in place. Go me – or go whoever did the tutorial that showed me how to do it.

I Love how simple the design is on this people’s magazine cover. the typeface looks al=mazing and it suits the person on the cover. the color is also something I’ve never seen in an exact combination like that before. it looks simply awesome.

Top Gear is a magazine based on the BBC television show directed towards car enthusiasts. The title design/typography comes from the show. This issue highlights Britain, so they pulled the colors of the cars from the British flag. In the iPad format, there is mush less type and the photograph is significantly cropped. They also changed the color of “Top Gear” from black to white in the iPad version so it would not have an overwhelming presence.

GQ’s iPad magazine differs very little from their print format. They use Gotham font on all of their covers.
